Louis Vuitton releases its first Makeup collection

French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has released its first makeup collection La Beaute Louis Vuitton.

Announced in March of this year, it marks Louis Vuitton's expansion into beauty led by internationally-renowned makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath as its Creative Director.

Comprising of 55 lipstick shades, ten balms and eight eyeshadows, the collection elevates beauty into a sensory and artistic experience. Combining refinement, sustainability and exceptional savoir-faire, the creations feature a unique olfactory signature by Louis Vuitton Master Perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.

Conceived as precious objects d'art designed to be kept and passed on forever, they come in a refillable design from industrial designer Konstantin Grcic. The collection is accompanies by a stunning Vanity Trunk and a line of small leather goods designed to be used as everyday beauty ritual companions.

'Whenever possible we chose products that are refillable rather than discarded when they're empty. We selected materials such as brass and aluminum to minimize the use of plastic and increase the lifetime of the products. Our approach is anchored in durability and quality, aligned with our desire and commitment to sustainability. These are objects to be used daily, to be kept for years and enjoyed again and again,' Grcic said in a press release.
