Born and raised in Australia, Catherine McNeil found that she was being singled out for her looks from an exceedingly early age. Blessed with the kind of strong features most women would kill for, Catherine heeded the advice of her family and friends by entering a model-search contest being held by Australian teen magazine Girlfriend.
It came as no surprise to anybody when Catherine handily won the competition, and it wasn’t long before she found herself walking the runway and posing for cameras.

She was just 14 years old at the time, yet this didn’t stop Catherine McNeil from pursuing a modeling career with an ambition and drive one wouldn't normally associate with a teenager. One of the perks of her victory was a trip to New York City, where Catherine began to meet with a number of agents and fashion industry mavens.
She eventually elected to sign with the prestigious Next Models agency, which is also home to such familiar faces as Miranda Kerr and Ana Beatriz Barros. She returned to Australia and spent the next several years familiarizing herself with the fashion scene, appearing within the pages of magazines like Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.

Catherine McNeil moved permanently to New York City at 17, and she’s since established herself as a force to be reckoned with within the industry.
In addition to walking the runway for such designers as Valentino, Versace and Givenchy, Catherine McNeil was recently hired by Donna Karan to promote her 2007-2008 line of women’s clothes.
